The 2016 Breast Health Quality Symposium

001_bhqcThe National Capital Area Breast Health Quality Consortium (BHQC) is an initiative lead by the Primary Care Coalition that aims to reduce disparities in breast cancer mortality in the DC metropolitan area. Over the last five years, the BHQC has worked collaboratively with breast health providers throughout the region to reduce disparities by improving the quality of care delivery for low-income women.

The BHQC hosted the Breast Health Quality Symposium on October 20th at Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C. Approximately 150 health care professionals, health services administrators, and patient advocates from D.C., Maryland, and Virginia convened to network, celebrate the successes of their colleagues, and discuss best practices for advancing breast health equity in the region.
